Our strategic direction

The Department of Local Government, Water and Volunteers (DLGWV) became a unified department on 1 November 2024.

The DLGWV Strategic Plan 2024-28 (PDF, 2MB) reflects the department’s evolving vision, purpose and objectives, and its role in delivering the priorities of the Queensland Government.

To align with the strategic direction, we are members of Pride in Diversity, reflecting our commitment to inclusion and diversity within our workforce and communities.
