Disaster support and assistance

The department offers advice and assistance to support landholders affected by drought, floods and other natural disasters.

Water licence fee waiver

The department waives the annual water licence fee for landholders who are affected by disaster or drought. If you are eligible for this waiver, you will be automatically notified when you would usually receive your invoice.

The stock or domestic water licence application fee is also waived for landholders in a drought declared area or an individually droughted property. This fee will be waived for eligible applicants at the time of their application.
