Big Rocks Weir
The proposed weir is on the Burdekin River, approximately 26km north-west of Charters Towers.
It would supply a potential 10,000 megalitres of additional water to expand agriculture, industry and urban water security for the Burdekin region. Additional water made available by the Big Rocks Weir project would be managed as part of the Burdekin Basin water plan.
